Drill-free dentistry comes to Colchester

National firm Dentist Direct, headquartered in Houghton-le-Spring, has announced the opening of a brand new spa-style practice in Colchester which aims to stamp out fear of drilling and injections among dental patients.

The new centre will allow patients to be treated with revolutionary laser technology which can be used instead of drills and needles for almost any dental procedure and – in most cases – is completely painless.

The technology, known as Waterlase, is widely available in America and throughout Europe, but dentists in the UK have been unwilling to adopt it, largely because of its high cost.

However it is expected to transform dentistry in the same way that laser eye technology has changed eye treatments.

On top of providing affordable Waterlase treatments, Dentist Direct aims to make life a lot easier for patients by tackling all of the gripes associated with a trip to the dentist by offering early morning, late evening and weekend opening hours as well as plenty of free parking.

Principle dentist Dr. Neel Sanghavi, who is one of the most reputable dental professionals in the Colchester area, will head up the practice.
