Peace comes first, miracles take longer

Peace and tranquillity is being cultivated at a Northumberland garden centre and customers are being asked to expect miracles.

Life coach, writer and broadcaster Jayne Goldstone has started a new business venture within the grounds of Callerton Garden Centre offering busy commuters, stressed business people and those simply wanting to chill out, the opportunity to do so without any distractions.

The new business, Expect Miracles is based on the premise that sometimes, the opportunity to go back to the more simple things in life can be lost in the busy hustle bustle of everyday life.

To enhance the sense of peace and quiet, Jayne has invested in a traditional Mongolian Yurt, a portable, wood-framed dwelling structure traditionally used by nomadic tribes in Central Asia. Inside, the Yurt is furnished with a log burner, comfortable cushions to help create a relaxing atmosphere, living water, aromatherapy oils and candles to help concentrate the mind.

Jayne is marketing the Yurt as an alternative, ideas conducive meeting place for management meetings and as a venue for a number of unique experiences which she feels will benefit a wide cross section of the community.

“I’ve developed a number of experiences that will utilise the space and well-being found in the Yurt,” she said. “Sitting in a circle was probably one of the first ways that humans met and shared their thoughts. Everyone loves sitting around in a circle telling stories, solving problems and sharing experiences. Our Women’s Circle sessions for example, provide a safe and nurturing space for participants to own their feelings and experiences. We encourage women to support each other and discover themselves through talk. We also have the same opportunities for our mixed groups for men and women to share together.

“We also have a session called Manifesting Circles which is based on the law of attraction. We help people to focus on the things that are important in their life and help them to use the power of the universe to get them the things they want and improve their lives for the better.”

As well as being commercially available for hire during the day, the Yurt will be open every day between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm to facilitate a “peace hour.” This is a free service where participants can call in after a busy day and meditate free of charge.

“I’m blessed that my new business is in such a wonderful setting and I’m very excited to be able to offer people the chance to come to this beautiful corner of Northumberland and find their inner peace. Anything I can do to make someone’s busy life less stressful can only be a good thing for everyone.”
