Aspire steps into spotlight with Customs House contract

North East managed services company Aspire Technology Solutions has taken centre stage following a prestigious contract win with one of the region’s leading arts centres.

Gateshead-based Aspire has beaten off stiff competition to become the IT services provider for The Customs House in South Shields, securing a significant contract valued at around £58k.

Aspire has been appointed by the popular arts venue to provide a full IT support service as well as a more reliable internet connectivity solution. Over the next 12 months, Aspire will also work with The Customs House on a consultancy basis as the organisation considers further IT enhancements.

Of the new partnership, Justin Godfrey, Sales Executive for Aspire, said: “When we first met with The Customs House, they were experiencing reliability issues with their existing internet service. We have therefore replaced their unreliable ADSL line with an EFM circuit. This is essentially a high speed internet connection offering significantly increased bandwidth and a guaranteed level of service.

“We are also providing them with a full time IT support service covering all aspects of their infrastructure, thereby ensuring that their business critical systems run without incident 24 hours a day. This includes proactive monitoring of their servers and IT equipment which in turn enables our technicians to detect and fix faults before the customer is even aware of them.

“We fought hard to win the Customs House contract because we were keen to be associated with a venue of its stature and we look forward to a long relationship with the organisation moving forward.”
