Changes at the top for fast growing accountancy
Award-winning accountancy practice Evolution LLP has grown its senior team after enlisting the services of a former employee to help drive the firm’s expansion plans.
The Tees Valley firm has appointed Kevin Howes as its new senior manager, in a move that will incorporate both financial and business development leadership duties.
Durham-born Kevin returns to the business he spent three years working at before pursuing a career as an entrepreneur in the financial sector.
In his previous role at Evolution he worked as a client manager, largely supervising regional, national and international companies through the management buy-out process.
He then went into industry to widen his experience and also to launch his own management accounting, business support and financial outsourcing venture before his return to Evolution.
He said: “Ultimately the great thing about working with Evolution is the constant challenge. There is a strong team in place which keeps you on your toes at all times, whether it be the demands of your seniors or the drive from assistants.”
He added that Evolution’s success at this year’s North East Accountancy Awards, where it was named Independent Firm of the Year, gave him further encouragement to rejoin the firm.
Meanwhile, Martin Barber, managing partner at Evolution, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Kevin again as he’s a great personality and brings that to Evolution and to all our clients.
“He also possesses many years of experience in working on client affairs as well as bringing new business to the firm - so we feel it was a win-win to invite him back to join our team.”
Evolution acts for a wide range of clients, from sole traders to multinationals, and offers a broad spectrum of services including personal tax returns and tax planning for high net-worth individuals.
