Hazeldene is investing in its people!
Colleagues at Hazeldene deserve a well-earned pat on the back after achieving the Silver Investors in People Award.
The Wigan salad processor, which employs about 250 people, impressed the Investors in People assessor with team work, efficiency and the workforce’s attitude to the company’s values.
Ian Hunt, Managing Director of the business on the Martland Park Industrial Estate, said:
“This is a brilliant result and an achievement everybody in the business should be proud of! Investors in People is a new initiative for us which we took on with the aim of continually making Hazeldene a better place to work as well as ensuring we invest and develop our workforce in the best way possible.
“I’d like to say thanks to the team for all their dedication to Hazeldene over the years; it’s a fantastic place to work with a fantastic workforce.”
Hazeldene is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fresh salad and vegetable produce to some of the UK’s leading local retailers, foodservice and sandwich manufacturers.
It is part of the William Jackson Food Group, a 160-year-old family business which also owns frozen food brand Aunt Bessie’s.
During the summer months Hazeldene sources the majority of its produce from local suppliers.
