Waltons Clark Whitehill welcomes three local appointees
Waltons Clark Whitehill, a leading firm of North East chartered accountants and business advisers, has made a key new appointment and added two new apprentices to its team.
The Hartlepool firm has appointed experienced accountant Gillian Lyons as its new practice director. Gillian returns to the growing firm at which she started her career in the 1980s, having spent the last 11 years running her own accountancy services business.
Stephen McAllister and Jason Crowther have also joined the firm as Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) apprentices. Stephen has been working for a number of charitable organisations in the town since finishing his A-Levels at English Martyrs Sixth Form College in 2011. Jason has recently completed his AAT Accountancy Level 2 qualification at Hartlepool College of Further Education.
All three new appointees are from Hartlepool, building on the firm’s wealth of local talent.
Heather O’Driscoll, Managing Partner at Waltons Clark Whitehill, said: “It is great that we are able to welcome Gillian back to the firm as our new practice director and we believe she will add a valuable wealth of experience to Waltons Clark Whitehill as we look to a bright future in our new offices here at Hartlepool Marina.
“The addition of Stephen and Jason to the firm is a part of our commitment to develop local talent. Waltons Clark Whitehill has a proud history in Hartlepool and it has been people like Stephen and Jason who have grown into the firm’s leaders, generation after generation, and we look forward to them developing their skills as part of our team.”
