‘Rags to riches’ businessman to launch book
A businessman who earns a six-figure residual income working part-time is set to launch a book and reach out to others who want to achieve similar success or simply get more out of life.
Pete Rea, 48, has built two successful businesses from scratch – the latest being a franchise of international home shopping company, Kleeneze. Pete started his franchise 12 years ago and within three and a half years was earning £50,000 a year. His company has turned over in excess of £9million in the last three years.
The Kleeneze business model has allowed Pete to grow a strong franchise and he now has over 400 home shopping agents across the UK.
Pete now wants to pass on his tips for success. He has penned a personal development book ‘One Life, One Shot’ and is also looking for 10 people who would like the opportunity to start their own Kleeneze franchise. He is offering to pay their £200 franchise fee and personally mentor them in setting up and growing their business.
Pete said: “Ninety-nine percent of people have no idea what the Kleeneze business offers; it’s an exciting career opportunity with phenomenal potential. It also offers those who simply want to top up their household income a great way to make a second income working from home.
“Just before I started my franchise I was on rock bottom. I was drifting from one low paid job to the next after my first, very successful business eventually failed.”
At 18, Pete built up a fire and flood restoration business and thanks to its success he led a luxury lifestyle and was even able to buy his parents their first private home. For many years business was booming – the firm had two offices - one in Gateshead and one in Huddersfield. But in the late 90’s the market changed. Pete lost a couple of major clients and his business eventually went into administration.
He went from living in a large, detached property in Hamsterley Mill to a council house in Rowlands Gill and was claiming unemployment benefit.
“I had lost all my confidence and drive and was falling behind on my financial obligations,” he said.
In an attempt to get back on track after two years of struggling, Pete, in what he describes as complete desperation borrowed £150 from a close friend to set up his Kleeneze franchise and has never looked back.
Each home shopping agent earns around 21% of their retail orders and can receive up to 16% in bonuses on top. In addition, royalty bonuses are paid on the success of your team as it starts to grow beyond a certain threshold.
“There is nothing out there that’s as good as our Kleeneze opportunity as far as I’m concerned. The company offer you fantastic incentives to grow your franchise, including international travel and cars. I’m proof that the business model pays dividends for those who want to earn a great living.”
Pete has now turned his hand to motivational speaking to inspire others to believe in themselves and to believe in better and has written a book to pass on his knowledge.
His book, One Life One Shot is endorsed by Sunday Times No1 bestselling author, Richard McCann who says: “The book deserves to sit alongside the great personal development books in the world.”
On his book launch Pete said: “There couldn’t be a better time to release my book. We’re in a recession, unemployment is high and businesses need to stand head and shoulders above the competition, and lots of people are looking for more from life but don’t really know where to start.
“I know it’s a bit of a cliché but it’s true that success really does leave clues and I’ve put as many clues as I’ve encountered into this book. To me, being successful with anything is all about choice, not chance.”
