William Sinclair invest £4.75m in Cheshire plant
Horticultural supplier William Sinclair have spent £4.75m on a major new production site at Ellesmere Port.
The facility will accommodate production of the company’s ‘SuperFyba’ product, a peat-free growing material.
As the new facility is assembled on the site, it is expected that operations will begin in November 2012.
The move will double the Company’s annual production capacity of SuperFyba, which was used extensively in the landscaping of the Olympic Park in London.
Bernard Burns, Chief Executive of William Sinclair Holdings PLC said: “The development of William Sinclair’s new site is the cornerstone of the Company’s future growth strategy and drive to create greater operational efficiencies.
William Sinclair operations, currently based in Lincoln, will be transferred to the Ellesmere Port site over the next five years.
