Drivers Jonas Deloitte advises on town centre sites
Drivers Jonas Deloitte is excited to announce that it has reached agreement with Bury Council to act as sole advisor on the marketing and disposal of two strategic development sites, Chamberhall and the second phase of the very successful Townside development.
The larger of the two sites, 59-acre Chamberhall provides opportunity for headquarter location and high quality office-led or research and development facilities. The smaller seven-acre Townside site will seek to build on the success of the first phase at Townside which was brought forward by Bury Council in partnership with Ask Developments.
Simon Bedford, partner and head of the Manchester office of Drivers Jonas Deloitte, commented: “We’re extremely pleased to be advising Bury Council on these two sites, both of which provide potential occupiers, developers and investors the opportunity to be part of North Manchester’s ‘success’ story.”
Councilor Tony Isherwood, Bury Council’s ‘Cabinet Member for Finance and Resources’, said: “In difficult times Bury have been able to buck the trend in successfully delivering major new office, residential and retail schemes in and adjacent to the town centre. These two sites are pivotal in terms of maintaining the momentum and will further boost the local economy in Bury.”
He added that “Bury Council are very pleased to be working with Drivers Jonas Deloitte on these two strategic sites and in partnership these developments will attract new investment, creating sustainable high quality jobs for the town.”
Simon Bedford of Drivers Jonas Deloitte is being supported on the project by Adam Robson and Hannah Thorne. Steve Hopley is the lead officer at Bury Council.
