Knowledge Connects Esh Group for future growth

Washington based ICT-provider Knowledge I.T recently finished a new technology-project with North-based construction firm Esh Group. The new installation project involved creating a series of new communication links between a new building, purchased to compliment their existing operational bases, and Esh’s main offices.

The installation was done by Knowledge’s own in-house connectivity and cabling team, who were, as a long-standing supplier, able to take into account Esh’s existing technology infrastructure to connect new fibre and telephony links, efficiently and under budget.

The new office was fitted out with Ethernet cables integrated into existing ducts, to minimise disruption and were furnished with full network connections and Cisco switches, Knowledge being a highly accredited Cisco ‘Premier Certified Partner’.

Knowledge Account Manager Darren Clark explains: “Going into businesses with pre-existing connectivity we often find that the cabling infrastructure is inefficient and wasteful for the needs of the overall network. Having high quality, future-proof connectivity in place is fundamental to a solid well-performing computer network. By having our own cabling and connectivity team in-house at Knowledge, we are able to understand the needs of such connectivity infrastructure projects end-to-end.”

Esh Group, who also have in place a key backup strategy based at one of Knowledge I.T’s regional data centres, are delighted with the results of the project, as Phillip Dixon details: “When onsite Knowledge’s cabling team were very tidy and professional, they took their time to understand our requirements with a thorough survey prior to any physical work being done. This meant that the installation went smoothly and without any disruption.

“Their expertise in both network hardware and connectivity showed, as they were able to integrate the most efficient solution based on our existing systems and future plans. We now have electronic delivery access across all our sites – which aids productivity and will enable our business to continue to grow.”
