Dine chosen to cater FA Training Centre Launch
Yorkshire-based event and hospitality specialist, Dine, was commissioned by Generate Events to deliver all catering and hospitality services at the prestigious launch of the new FA national training centre at St George’s Park, Burton upon Trent.
Appointed by the FA to manage the opening ceremony, Generate Events elicited the help of Dine to provide corporate catering services to more than 650 guests. The star-studded event, which showcased the new state-of-the-art facilities took place on Tuesday 9th October and was opened by Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Guests included iconic sportsmen and women, celebrities, and global brand leaders. The momentous occasion was broadcast worldwide on news and sports stations across the globe.
Renowned for its creativity and award-winning food, Dine was briefed to serve the equivalent of 100 canapés every minute for the duration. To impress the guests, the team served a selection of canapés on custom made trays, and their very own ‘patented’ iPad trays, which displayed a video edited by the FA especially for the occasion.
In addition to canapés, Dine was also asked to provide some sweet treats, including chocolate brownies topped with golden hazelnut and chocolate popping candy to all guests.
Speaking on behalf of Dine, Daniel Gill, Managing Director said, “It has been really amazing and a great pleasure working in partnership with Matt Hudson and the team at Generate Events. An event of this size and scale meant that meticulous planning and project management was the key to success throughout the evening, and with close to 5,400 canapés served in under an hour, we were delighted with the final result.”
Matt Hudson, Managing Director at Generate Events said, “An event of this calibre needs a catering firm to fit the occasion, and Dine fit the bill perfectly. It was a tremendous honour for Generate Events to have been selected to work on such a prestigious event and it was fantastic to share the experience with Dine.”
