McBride issue profit warning
Cleaning products manufacturer McBride has warned that revenues have declined faster than anticipated.
Weak demand and the winding down of the firm’s contract manufacturing business have made a significant impact, and McBride expect trading profit in the first half to be impacted by around £2m.
Chris Bull, Chief Executive, said: “As we indicated at the full year, our financial performance this year will be second-half weighted as some contract manufacturing business is wound down, allowing us to grow our Private Label business in the second half and beyond.
“Although our contract manufacturing business has declined more rapidly than expected in the first half, remain very encouraged by the progress being made by the business overall.“The firm, which has its main manufacturing facilities in Manchester, produces a wide range of cleaning products, from shampoo to washing machine liquid.
