Frank's the Flooring store kit-out new soccer centre

Businesses on the George Reynolds Industrial Estate in Shildon have rallied round former premier league footballer Alun Armstrong to ensure his new Soccer Centre opened on time

The Soccer Centre provides an indoor football venue which can be hired for several different purposes. The Centre offers 3G astro turf pitches for adult league games, children’s birthday parties and corporate away-days. Alun also organises soccer schools for aspiring footballers in fun, safe and effective coaching sessions, including the tuition of basic skills and techniques.

Frank’s the Flooring store, with a warehouse and retail unit is one of the biggest businesses on the estate which has branches throughout the North East. It has teamed up with Alun Armstrong, to help launch his new sporting venture.

The Soccer Centre approached the flooring specialists to provide an innovative solution to its requirements.

The offices, changing rooms, café and public areas surrounding the five-a-side football facilities were furnished with Frank’s carpet throughout the 36,000 square ft. space, including special imitation grass carpet.

Frank’s offers customers carpets to suit all budgets, which includes a range of artificial grass carpets in many differing styles to fit in several different locations.

Alun Armstrong said: “The centre opened on time at the beginning of this month and looks fantastic. The investment fit-out and imitation grass ‘carpets’ give the centre a great look alongside our six FIFA approved, all weather pitches, which will be used by football fanatics from all around County Durham.

“We are now up and running to host children’s parties, work away-days, five -a-side tournaments or any other reason to come and enjoy playing football.”
