Hertfordshire LEP offers £6m Growing Places investment
The Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has announced it will inject £6m into the local economy through the Growing Places fund.
Businesses in the area can bid for grants until the end of November this year, and cash will be awarded to deserving projects early in 2013.
This investment will be the second installment the LEP has opened up to help job creation in the region.Last year funding from the Growing Places programme was awarded to a traffic easing scheme, as well as a project that created space for industry.
The LEP is also exploring further options this year to find innovative projects that will open opportunities for future investment.
Hertfordshire LEP Chairman, John Gourd, commented: “We want to ensure that forward thinking organisation in Hertfordshire can flourish. This funding is an exciting opportunity.
“We are looking to invest in projects that make a solid business case and can start making an impact quickly. Spent correctly, this money could rejuvenate entire areas so it’s vital we make the right choices.”
