J & B Recycling Star of the show
WASTE management company J&B Recycling has been named Business of the Year at Star Radio’s Business Awards.
The ceremony, held at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe and sponsored by Business Durham, recognised businesses and individuals for achievements during the last year with J & B Recycling honoured with the coveted Business of the Year Award.
J & B Recycling, based in Hartlepool but operating across the region and nationwide, demonstrated growth and commitment to leadership within the recycling and waste management sector.
The company has focused on attracting new business, offering excellent service and innovation in its efforts to reduce landfill through recycling initiatives. This was supported by the company demonstrating a substantial increase in year on year turnover and profits within a very competitive market place.
Managing Director Vikki Jackson Smith, who is a regular speaker at national recycling conferences and has spoken in Westminster to input into Government legislation for the sector, said: “We are absolutely delighted to win the Business of the Year award. This is a real achievement and fantastic endorsement and recognition of what we have achieved over the year and the amazing and dedicated team we have here.
“Winning such an award is an acknowledgement for everyone’s hard work which will continue as we focus on growth and commitment to investing in our people and our business.”
