Northumberland Cheese Company launches Christmas gift range
A new selection of original corporate Christmas gift ideas, especially crafted for cheese lovers, is now available from the Northumberland Cheese Company.
The company, based in Blagdon, has introduced a newly designed Four Wedge Box which includes handmade, artisan, farmhouse cheeses contained within a compact wedge shaped box.
Prices start from £13 and each pre-packed 115g box offers an assortment of full fat hard cow’s cheeses which may include Hadrian, Nettle, Chilli Garlic, Chive or Original.
For customers who prefer the traditional wicker hamper there is a range of gifts available or customers can go along to the company’s tea room and make up their own hamper with prices starting from £15.00.
Ready-made hampers are available and are even designed around male and female tastes. For her there’s a hamper that features a smooth and creamy Nettle cheese, crumbly Elsdon goats cheese and rich, buttery Kielder whereas for him, there’s an extra mature Cheviot, the creamy and perfectly balanced smokiness of Oak Smoked and sizzling heat of Chilli. Both cost £25 and include a selection of accompaniments such as Mondovino crackers, Durham Dales fruitcake and Red Rascal sweet chilli ketchup.
The ultimate gift for a cheese lover is the Cheese Making Day where customers can get fully and actively involved in the cheese making process by experiencing a ‘day in the life of a cheese maker’. Three months later they will be sent a truckle of cheese that they have personally made. The Cheese Making Day costs £85 per person and includes lunch in the tea room or £150 for two people.
Alternatively, weekday tours are available around the cheese shop from £25pp including lunch in the tea room, and vouchers can also be bought for these.
Other gift ideas include the North East Foodie Box which represents the very best artisan producers in the North East. This hamper is a true taste of a Northumberland Farmers Market bought to the home and has a four wedge cheese gift box, Ann’s Durham Dales cake, Bille’s finest spelt biscuits, Mark’s Chilli Jam and British Victory Tea Bags for £40.
A quirky cheese board and cheese knife gift box which includes four wooden cheese knives contained in a ‘cheesey’ glass and wood cheese board is also available to buy for £11.50. Costs exclude post and packaging but free delivery is offered if customers spend £50 or more.
All gifts are available to purchase online via www.northumberlandcheese.co.uk/cheese and are also available at farm shops, delis and retailers such as Waitrose and Fenwick as well as farmers markets across the North East.
