Landmark Hotel Celebrates 1st Birthday With Deals Day

A landmark North East hotel is celebrating the first anniversary of its re-launch by offering customers a day of discounts and special offers.

The Scotch Corner hotel, at the junction of the A1 and A66, was officially re-launched as The Holiday Inn Darlington A1 Scotch Corner by Richmond MP William Hague last year following a multi-million pound refurbishment.

Now, to mark its anniversary, the 91-bedroom hotel is cutting the cost of everything from afternoon tea to weddings in a one-day-only bargain bonanza on Friday November 30.

From 12 noon onwards diners in the hotel?s on-site Fratello?s restaurant - which specialises in contemporary Italian cuisine - and visitors choosing to take Afternoon Tea in its Columbus Bar will all enjoy a 25 per cent discount.

In addition, the hotel is slashing the cost of all its forthcoming Christmas events, such as parties and festive lunches, by 10 per cent to anyone who books on the day, while bridal couples can choose from a selection of wedding packages all at discounted prices.

Keith Stewart, Operations Manager at the Holiday Inn Darlington A1 Scotch Corner, said: ?We have received a huge amount of support from the local community since we opened last year and this is our way of saying thank you.

?But, of course, it wouldn?t be a party without cake and music so we will also be treating everyone who visits the hotel on its anniversary to a slice of birthday cake, with live entertainment in the bar from 7pm.?
