Can you believe it’s that time of year again?! With winter well and truly here, holidays and New Year to look forward to, it is certainly gearing up to be a busy time.

So we hope our daily ’12 Tips of Christmas’ make it that little bit easier and also helps you to make the most of the brand new start of another year – happy holidays!

Tip 3: Get it booked! With all of the shopping, celebrations, relatives, kid’s plays etc. December is a very busy time and so lots of leave requests might be appearing in your manager’s inboxes.

But December is still a working month (sigh) and your business still needs to keep going – indeed for some it can be the busiest month of the year!

So when it comes to holiday requests and potential clashes, be open and honest about your policies, how many people can be off at once and also encourage staff to plan their time off well in advance so it can be managed more easily.
