Work Placements Abroad for Unemployed North East Graduates
A North East based company, Accentuate (North East) Limited, is to provide unemployed North East graduates with work placements across Europe in a bid to improve employability amongst young people in the region.
Accentuate, which has been awarded European Union funding, will be drawing on a growing network of organisations across Europe to place the successful applicants in 13 week work placements in either Prague, Seville or Cork.
The purpose of the programme, which will run from January 2013, is to help applicants develop the knowledge and skills acquired through their UK degree programmes with the objective of making them more employable on their return to the region and enabling them to make a contribution to the local economy.
“At the end of these placements, participants will have developed new higher level work skills, plus language and social skills, all of which will improve their chances of permanent employment in the UK or abroad“, says Rick McCordall, co-founder and Managing Director of Accentuate.
Accentuate will be covering the costs of return flights to the host cities as well as good quality accommodation and a financial allowance sufficient for three meals a day. Graduates are therefore encouraged to make their applications early to give themselves the best chance of success.
To apply, please email or call Rick McCordall on 07808 501553 | info@accentuate.uk.com.
