Headhunter Christie Mills opens Newcastle office

A London-based headhunter has expanded its reach North by opening up a new branch in Newcastle.

Christie Mills, a two-year old business set up by Dylan Christie, celebrated its second anniversary with the announcement, and also revealed it would be recruiting for the new Northern base.

After leaving Northern Recruitment Group (NRG) in 2010, Mr Christie set up his business in executive search business servicing law, accountancy and management consultancy.

The firm reported high sales growth of 35% this year and said recent business investments in the firm had enabled it to expand.

Mr Christie said: “It’s been a really exciting couple of years building Christie Mills in London from scratch.

“However, Newcastle is my home and we’ve decided to buy an office and build a team there, giving us truly national coverage.”

The company also celebrated the appointment of a new professional services specialist, Sam Wall.

Mr Christie continued: “We’re thrilled to welcome Sam across at a time when we’re growing our customer base across the UK and now looking to strengthen our team further by recruiting more specialist executive search consultants.

“We were lucky to receive attractive investment offers from private equity firms and angel investors in London and Newcastle.

“Ultimately we selected a like-minded business angel and the investment will now help us grow further and faster throughout 2013 and beyond.”
