Cestria Achieves IiP Silver At First Attempt
Staff from a County Durham housing association had double cause for celebration after their organisation was recognised for its efforts to invest in its employees.
Following an assessment, Cestria Community Housing was not only awarded Investors in People (IiP) accreditation but also achieved Silver status at their first assessment.
Investors in People is about encouraging companies to improve business and performance through its people and achieve their corporate objectives.
Martin Warhurst, Director of Finance and Corporate Services at Cestria Community Housing, said:
“Achieving IiP accreditation is a fantastic achievement but to achieve silver status at our first attempt is remarkable.
“The accreditation recognises that we have the correct processes and procedures embedded within the organisation to achieve our objectives and vision, which is to create safe, happy and vibrant communities within the district.
“Being an Investor in People organisation involves all employees and I would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication in helping us to achieve Silver.”
Chris Jones, Head of Operations at idg, the official partner for Investors in People in the North of England, said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for Cestria Community Housing and I would like to congratulate the team on their commitment to continuous improvement.
“As an official partner for Investors in People, idg is committed to working with organisations of all sizes and sectors to improve, develop and grow. By offering a flexible, practical and easy to use framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people enhance performance and meet goals. By achieving Silver accreditation, and at their first assessment too, Cestria Community Housing is certainly working to do this.”
The association is now looking to achieve Investors in People Gold accreditation next year.
