Dosco breaks new ground helped by Pulse Creative
A global engineering company recently had a very successful trade expo in Las Vegas with the help of Pulse Creative Marketing and Square 17 Business Consultancy.
Dosco Overseas Engineering Limited, with UK headquarters based in the North East, attended the MINExpo International in Las Vegas in September 2012 – a once every four years event that brought 52,000 mining industry professionals together with a massive combined budget.
Martin Cain, from Sunderland, chief executive at Dosco, said: “The MINExpo is recognised as the premier expo for the worldwide mining equipment sector. It is vital we attend as it allows us to network and showcase our products and services to our overseas customer base which accounts for 95% of our £22 million pound turnover.”
Dosco have attended the last two expos and found them very worthwhile. Martin continued: “The pressure is on to ensure we get the right message to prospective clients – in such a large expo, you have to stand out for all of the right reasons. That is why we chose to work with Pulse Creative Marketing and Square 17 Business Consultancy to help us plan and implement our marketing activity. Also, as I live in Sunderland I like to use local companies whenever possible.”
With Square 17 providing a full strategic review of the business, Pulse were tasked with getting all of the marketing collateral designed and printed ready for the expo. With tight timescales, the Pulse team developed a number of different marketing materials including: Tri-fold leaflets, brochures, business cards, a double banner stand, and branded polo shirts. The marketing materials were very well received at the expo. Martin Cain said: “I was extremely happy with our new marketing material but more importantly we received some very positive feedback from our potential clients. This has helped keep Dosco in the forefront of our customers minds worldwide.”
Dosco have been so pleased with the work that Pulse have done that they have commissioned them to design and build a new website which will go live soon.
Paul Finch, manager at Pulse said: “It was a really great to work with a global company such as Dosco. It’s great to think that the material we designed and printed is now circulating around the world and helping a North East company operate globally. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with Dosco.”
