SES shows its festive green side

SES, one of the UK’s leading infrastructure and building services contractors, is once again demonstrating its commitment to the environment as well as bringing some festive spirit to those less fortunate.

Instead of sending out Christmas cards, each year SES donates a Christmas tree and decorations to seven children’s hospices - each one close to its seven regional offices – so that SES volunteers can help to decorate them.

In Wetherby, Martin House Children’s Hospice was chosen to receive a tree with Marie Faxon, CSR co-ordinator and Lucy Meek, marketing assistant, from SES head office in York, keen to show off their decorating skills.

John Haigh, corporate fundraiser at Martin House, said: “I cannot begin to explain how much this means to both the staff and the children. Christmas is a wonderful time for children and it is more important than ever when they are unwell, to make it as happy a time as possible. This is a wonderful gesture from SES and we are most appreciative.”

Francesca Tomlinson, group marketing manager at SES, added: “We really look forward to this time each year when we can help out in the local community. John and his team are doing a fantastic job at Martin House and it is great to be able to show our support in this way.”
