Inflation remains unchanged, say ONS
Inflation remained unchanged in November at 2.7%, reports Office for National Statistics.
The largest upward pressure within the consumer prices index came from food and non-alcoholic beverages, and housing and household services, particularly gas and electricity.
Downward pressures come from motor fuels, furniture, household equipment and maintenance.
The retail prices index stood at 3% in November, down from 3.2% in October; largely influenced by downward pressures in motoring expenditure, housing and household goods, but offset by the increasing cost of food.
