Nursery Gardens First Choice for Rachael

Taking your first steps on the property ladder can be a daunting prospect, but for 26 year old Rachael Johnson, the dream of buying a home is now a reality thanks to Dunelm Homes. For her first home, Rachael has chosen the two-bedroom Lincoln house style at Nursery Gardens, just a stone’s throw from the centre of Stockton.

Like many first time buyers, Rachael was struggling to save a deposit but when friends and family suggested she looked into the Government backed FirstBuy scheme, Rachael soon discovered the perfect way for her to snap up her much longed-for home. Rachael said, “It would have taken me years to be able to save up the kind of deposit required to purchase a home so the FirstBuy scheme and the additional help from Dunelm Homes made being able to buy a property suddenly seem accessible. Because of the level of deposit I could access through Firstbuy, I’m able to keep my mortgage repayments at a comfortable amount and still own my house.”

Rachael received help and advice from Dunelm sales advisor Heidi Elliot who was only too happy to recommend the 2-bedroom Lincoln to Rachael having recently snapped up the same house style for herself at the development.

As a location, Nursery Gardens appealed to Rachael as it offered easy access to her work in Middlesbrough and was also close to friends and family. Its central position means that she will have plenty of shops, restaurants and bars on her doorstep and just a little further out of town there is a large shopping complex offering a wide range of retail outlets as well as a multi-screen cinema and bowling alley.
