Southdale's 25th anniversary birthday gift to staff
The 25th anniversary of construction and development specialist Southdale has heralded a special birthday treat for each of its 120 staff.
As part of the celebrations of Southdale’s anniversary, the company is giving each member of staff at its offices in Halifax, Darlington and Warrington their birthdays off.
For those employees whose birthdays fall on a weekend or Bank Holiday, the holiday can be taken on an adjacent day.
Managing director Paul Moore said: “When the company was founded in 1988, it was two people, our chairman Chris Harris and John O’Hara, who is still on the board.
“Now we are a team of 120 and our continued success and stability is down to these people, so we wanted to make our anniversary about them and this is the first of a number of ways in which we plan to acknowledge our staff’s contributions and loyalty.”
Human resources director Beverley Robinson said: “It is great to be able to reward all of our staff with a special reward for each of them on their birthdays. Southdale has fought its way through two recessions to still be standing strong in a very tough market, and our team deserve recognition for making that happen.”
