Aegis Group acquire Irish digital firm

Media and digital communications firm, Aegis Group, announced the acquisition of Irish company, Lucidity Digital, on Monday.

The London-based firm, which first established itself in 2003, secured the business in a bid to strengthen its position in the Irish market, while it has also gained access to a wide range of digital creative and production services to add to its capabilities.

Lucidity Digital, a web design, development and social media specialist, has worked with large clients such as packing company, Tekpak, and drinks firm, Britvic, since it was founded over a decade ago.

The Irish firm will join with Aegis, and the existing team will be kept on as a part of the buyer’s “digital creative origination network”, Isobar.

Liam McDonnell, CEO of Aegis Media Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be acquiring Lucidity, which will enhance the prospects of our business in the Irish market, allowing us to offer greater integration across digital media and creative.

Lucidity’s co-founder, Jim Cassidy, added: “This transaction will allow us to really scale our business in terms of both service offering and client base.
