EastCoast Taxis joins charity?s corporate family
Northumberland Wildlife Trust is delighted to welcome EastCoast Taxis as its latest bronze category corporate member.
Established in 1990 by managing director Paul Irwin, and based in Whitley Bay, the Company operates to the very highest of standards, covering primarily North Tyneside, Newcastle and Blyth Valley (although distance is no object) and offering 24/7 service, 365 days a year, and an ever-expanding fleet of over 200 vehicles (including multi-seater vehicles, executive and wheelchair-accessible).
A household name in the region, EastCoast Taxis is passionate about supporting the local area and was very keen to be involved with a credible conservation organisation with a long term strategy for the preservation of wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
It knows, by supporting the Trust, its money will be very well spent. Tours Co-ordinator Alan Fidler, who was awarded the title Tourism Superstar of England in March 2012 by Visit England, will be working closely with the wildlife charity to offer tailor-made trips, with driver guides, around Northumberland which will be ideal for non-drivers or wildlife lovers who want to sit back and do a bit of wildlife spotting without the hassle of having to drive.
Mike Pratt, Northumberland Wildlife Trust Chief Executive said: “It is wonderful that such a recognised and respected company has added us to the list of charities it supports, and it is also great that it has a real commitment to caring for the environment.”
He continued: “This year, wildlife has faced more challenges than ever before and certainly since the wildlife trust movement was founded one hundred years ago - wildlife can’t stand up for itself, so if we don’t do it, who will? This is why the support from our corporate members such as EastCoast Taxis is so important to us.”
Keep an eye open for Northumberland Wildlife Trust car stickers appearing in their vehicles very soon.
