Jonathan Riley announced as new Head of Tax

Leading business and financial advisory firm Grant Thornton UK LLP announces the appointment of Jonathan Riley as Head of Tax, with effect from 1 April 2013. Jonathan replaces Francesca Lagerberg, who is moving to the Global Head of Tax role at Grant Thornton International.

Jonathan has been a partner at Grant Thornton UK since 1997, and is currently the practice leader for Yorkshire.

The early part of Jonathan’s career was spent in the Civil Service, primarily as an Inspector of Taxes in both Yorkshire and London, followed by a two-year secondment to the Department of Trade & Industry as tax policy adviser to the President of the Board of Trade.

With a career in taxation spanning 20 years, Jonathan has extensive experience dealing with entrepreneurial high net worth individuals and corporates in a variety of sectors.
