Lucy Adams achieves advanced accreditation and secures promotion
A solicitor at Tees Valley law firm Archers Law is celebrating double success after gaining a major professional accreditation and a promotion.
Lucy Adams has joined an elite group of regional solicitors who have obtained the Law Society Family Law Advanced Accreditation in financial and children matters.
The scheme covers specialist areas of family Law work and to be successful, Lucy had to demonstrate a high level of knowledge, skill and experience in two chosen areas of family law, ancillary relief and children matters.
The 28-year-old, who joined Archers Law in 2007, becomes one of only three local solicitors and 20 in the North East to have been awarded the advanced accreditation.
Lucy, who lives in Middlesbrough and in her spare time is the resident pianist at Rockliffe Hall Hotel, said: “To be awarded this accreditation in ancillary relief really emphasises that I do have a specialism in a complex area of family law.
“I think it is also testament to how much I enjoy my job and what a rewarding career this is. I get to help and support families at what can be a very difficult time for them and the feedback which is given is always so positive.”
It has now been confirmed that from 1st April 2013, Lucy is being promoted to the position of Associate Solicitor, one of the youngest people in Archers Law history to do so.
She added: “To be appointed Associate Solicitor is a massive achievement, and is recognition of my commitment to the firm. It also gives new and existing clients the added confidence that they are dealing with a recognised specialist.
Lucy is a member of Resolution, First for Family Law, and has recently passed the first part of her assessment to become a Resolution Accredited Specialist in family Law.
Ann Pope, Head of the Family Unit and a Partner with Archers Law, said: “Since joining the firm in 2007 Lucy has shown great potential and having decided to specialise in family Law, she has really come into her own. It is evident how much she enjoys her work and she has been given this promotion to reflect her commitment and dedication to Archers Law.”
