Leading energy efficiency solutions company, Anesco, is continuing its impressive expansion with the appointment of Jamie Champness as Green Deal & ECO manager.
Reading-based Anesco is an approved provider under the Government’s Green Deal scheme. The company works with local authorities, businesses and homeowners looking to reduce their carbon emissions and has been recognised by the Sunday Times as one of the country’s fastest growing private companies.
Jamie joins the firm having previously worked as partnerships manager for renewable energy firm Enact and as a commercial manager within a building services company.
In his new role of Green Deal & ECO manager, Jamie will have responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with housing associations, local authorities and Anesco’s wider client base. He will be leading and developing the company’s growing Green Deal and ECO team, while working closely with Anesco’s head of energy efficiency, Matthew Tunstall.
Jamie commented: “When an opportunity arose for me to join the team at Anesco I jumped at the chance. The company is at the forefront of the renewables industry and its achievements in all areas of operation are really impressive.
“I look forward to being part of the team that helps it continue to grow and move forward. It’s an exciting challenge and there’s nowhere I’d rather be.”
Matthew Tunstall, head of energy efficiency, said: “We were very impressed by Jamie’s experience and enthusiasm. He is a strong communicator and is skilled in building lasting relationships, with values that match our own. He joins the firm as we enter a further stage of sustained growth.”
The Government officially launched its Green Deal Scheme on 28 January. The framework that has been introduced to encourage the uptake of energy efficiency measures by allowing businesses and homeowners to install measures at little or no upfront cost.
Payment for the improvements is made over time through the savings made on energy bills, with rules in place to ensure that the savings made are always more than the payments required.
Anesco provides organisations with a comprehensive energy service, from audits through to recommendations, installations and capital funding plans and is on target to hit £100 million turnover in 2014, as demand for its services continue to grow.
