Britons love that ?Friday feeling?
Hard-working Britons enjoy driving home for the start of the weekend more than any other car journey, according to new research.
A staggering 43% said they were at their happiest after finishing work on a Friday - more than twice as many who felt the same before going on holiday.
Less than a fifth (19%) rated the trip to the airport before flying off abroad their happiest journey, while 15% chose the drive to their wedding venue and 12% the drive home from hospital with their first child as their favourite.
And it seems there was little Christmas cheer on offer in 2012, with only 11% at their happiest while driving home for the start of the festive season.
Carcraft, who carried out the survey, said it was evidence of workers enjoying the “Friday feeling”.
A spokesperson for Carcraft, commented: “This survey seems to suggest that you really can’t beat that Friday feeling for driving happy.
“It’s understandable after a hard week at work that people feel really happy while journeying home for the start of the weekend, particularly following the news that Brits are the hardest working people in Europe.
“But it’s surprising these trips are more pleasurable than those taken by holidaymakers going to airports or on memorable occasions such as weddings.”
