Heritage Healthcare secures three prestigious internationally recognised standards
The standard of care provided by Heritage Healthcare has been validated as it secures three prestigious Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental accreditations.
The ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the OHSAS 18001, work in conjunction with each other to highlight Heritage Healthcare’s core standards and high quality.
The accreditation demonstrates the company’s commitment to standards of quality, environmental impact and health and safety management systems. The accreditation ensures a systematic control of activities to guarantee the highest quality is achieved for all clients.
Darlington-based Heritage Healthcare, a leading provider of home-based care, focuses on providing quality of care to its clients, whilst minimising its impact on the environment. The accreditations achieved by the company are world recognised standards of excellence.
Heritage Healthcare Director, Glenn Pickersgill, said: “At Heritage Healthcare, providing quality care is of paramount importance. The standards demonstrate our efficiency and are central to our approach.
“Being accredited with the prestigious awards is testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff at Heritage Healthcare and our commitment to the environment.”
Consultancy firm, ISO Systems UK Limited helped Heritage Healthcare further improve its frameworks for health and safety and environmental standards in preparation for the rigorous awards audit.
Billy Naisbett, of ISO Systems UK, said: “The systems in place at Heritage Healthcare mean that it can focus on providing an excellent service to its customers with the assurance that they are complying with the highest standards that are recognised worldwide and in my experience, within many industries, it is rare for a business to achieve all three standards consecutively.”
Worldwide Quality Assurance was the accreditor that rigorously scrutinised Heritage Healthcare’s systems, in a series of formal audits.
Tracey Barber, General Manager, Worldwide Quality Assurance, said: “To achieve these quality awards, companies’ systems are put to the test during a comprehensive inspections covering all documentation and operational activities and staff.
“Heritage Healthcare systems measured up to the very demanding requirements of these three internationally recognised standards.”
Heritage Healthcare arranges for carers to assist people in their own homes with practical and personal tasks. This may be for a short while, after an accident or an illness, or it might be long term due to age, disability or other health problems.
Heritage Healthcare also provides Supported Living services to people with physical disabilities or learning difficulties. This includes helping people go to work, attend a day centre, participate in leisure activities or visit the shops.
