Sanderson Weatherall expands following acquisition

Sanderson Weatherall LLP is to grow its property services and headcount with the acquisition of Edwards and Partners; a niche practice of Chartered Surveyors specialising in the valuation and sale of leisure property including holiday and mobile home parks.

Sanderson Weatherall has made the acquisition to further its growing presence in the leisure market, a move which will complement and add to its existing portfolio of property services.

Adam Burkinshaw, partner for leisure at Sanderson Weatherall, commented: “We believe this acquisition is a fantastic move; incorporating one of the best respected names in this sector will add value to our current offering. It complements our existing specialisms and we anticipate the new division will generate new and exciting opportunities for our business.”

Edwards and Partners, established for over 37 years, specialise in the sale, purchase, valuation and consultancy of holiday centres, caravan parks and mobile home parks around the UK. Operating from offices located in Yorkshire and Devon, the business boasts an enviable client list and reputation in the specialist field with over 80 UK park businesses worth £130 million currently on its books.

Founding partner of Edwards and Partners, Paul Edwards, commented: “Joining forces with Sanderson Weatherall is a wonderful opportunity for us to enhance and expand our specialist service. Paul Edwards and Chris Tucker are being appointed equity partners in the expanded business and all seven of Edwards and Partners staff will be retained. The business will trade under the title, Edwards and Partners, a division of Sanderson Weatherall and the offices in York and Devon will continue to operate as the hub of the business.
