Former Nayler property sold for £250,000
Printing business Nayler Group’s former Lancashire premises has been sold to Bubbles Brushes and Wiper (BBW) Company for £250,000.
BBW, which sells hygiene and cleaning products, previously occupied the ground floor of the Aero Mill property and will now take on the upper two floors of the 0.48 hectare building and the adjacent single story warehouse.
Nayler Group printed football programmes for clubs around the North West, including Bury, Blackpool, Accrington Stanley and Morecambe, before it went into administration at the beginning of 2012.
The firm was forced to make all of its 20 employees redundant after it was unable to keep up with digital and online competition, which resulted in lower demand for printed services.
The deal announced on Wednesday was overseen by surveyor Sanderson Weatherall’s offices in Manchester.
David Murray, partner at the North West office for Sanderson Weatherall, commented: “While it’s sad to see the demise of a long-standing business such as Nayler Group and the consequent loss of jobs, we are pleased to see continued employment on the site by achieving this sale of the building to BBW Ltd.”
