Waterlogic makes Scottish acquisition

A Surrey-based water purification firm has acquired Scottish rival, Water Filters Ltd for an undisclosed sum.

Waterlogic bought the firm, which trades as Aqua Cure Scotland, after its acquisition of the rest of the Aqua Cure business in 2011.

The move will further expand the business’ range of products and enable the Group to boost its offering in continental Europe.

Aqua Cure Scotland was established 20 years ago and ended the last financial year with revenues of $0.533m (£0.35m).

Peter Cohen, chief executive, Waterlogic Commercial, commented: “This acquisition is a great bolt-on for the existing Aqua Cure business.

“Importantly, the acquisition gives us direct access to the Scottish market and brings with it further reach within the UK market plus new products to offer to our existing Group customers.”

Mark Brown, managing director, Aqua Cure, added: “We are delighted to have made our first bolt-on acquisition since becoming part of the Waterlogic Group and are looking forward to the expansion of the Aqua Cure business both geographically and from a product perspective.”
