VMB Chooses NE Experts to Join Elite Group

VIRGIN Media Business has confirmed Gateshead-based technology experts ITPS as one of only 10 strategic partners, and the only North East IT firm to win that level of recognition from the big name brand. Strategic partners are drawn from the top ten percent of Virgin Media Business’ Gold partners across the UK

ITPS is the region’s biggest North East headquartered IT specialist, with a team of 92 people specialising in IT consultancy, implementation, data centre provision and unified communications, as well as support services and workspace and disaster recovery. It recently invested £750,000 in high speed, large capacity communications and cloud-based infrastructure at its data centres in Sunderland, Newcastle and Gateshead.

The criteria used to award strategic partner status included ITPS being measured on customer feedback, technical expertise, volume of business and the ability to support Virgin Media Business’s product range at the highest level.

Managing director Garry Sheriff said: “This is the ultimate status awarded by Virgin Media Business to its partners, so it puts us in the top tier, and at the level everyone else aspires to be at.
