Competition winners are clothed in success
Anthony Miller, Sarah Black and John Heggarty have been named as the winners of a modelling competition that will see them become the faces behind the spring-summer campaign for Escape Boutique and the newly launched Mitchell’s Menswear in Whitley Bay.
Launched at the end of January, 45 competition entries were received and whittled down by a panel of judges to just six people, then voted for by over 1000 members of the public via each business’s Facebook page.
With the most votes, Anthony Miller, 22 from Killingworth, was the outright winner from the male models, with Sarah Black from Whitley Bay securing the highest number of votes among the women.
Whitley resident John Heggarty, 37, came a close second to Anthony and was chosen by owners Lisa and Carl Mitchell as a third worthy winner to showcase the various styles on offer for men of different ages.
Lisa Mitchell said: “Carl and I have been delighted with the response to our competition and we are very grateful to those who took the time to enter and vote.
“Anthony, Sarah and John are very worthy winners and we’re now excited about welcoming them along to their photoshoot and picking out some clothing that they will hopefully love to wear.
“Mitchell’s Menswear has just opened and is a big development for us. It’s been wonderful to be able to involve members of the local community in this way.”
