Bglobal announces expansion into energy management services

Bglobal plc – the UK’s trusted provider of smart energy solutions – has completed a significant restructure of its business. As part of the corporate changes, the company has launched a new subsidiary, Bsmart Energy Solutions, which will enable it to offer a complete end-to-end energy management service.

Bsmart will provide businesses with the tools they need to measure and analyse their energy consumption and expenditure. Its range of cutting-edge software enables the creation of customised reports, which give a much deeper understanding of energy consumption, helping businesses to identify where reductions can be made. The aim is to ensure payback on the initial investment within two years and, where appropriate, provide funding solutions to reduce the initial capital outlay.

As a result of the launch, Bglobal plc is now able to offer a one-stop-shop range of smart energy solutions – from smart metering systems to full-service energy management.

Chris Norburn has taken on the role of managing director. He will be responsible for supporting the overall development of Bsmart at a strategic level, presently targeting the leisure, retail, commercial and manufacturing industries, as well as projects through channel partners.

Chris has over 30 years’ experience of working in energy management and control systems. He said: “The launch of Bsmart Energy Solutions forms a considerable part of our growth strategy and marks a significant development for Bglobal. It sets us apart from our competitors, as we can take a much more dedicated approach for our customers.”

Bsmart’s workforce will operate from Bglobal’s base in Darwen. Chris added: “Bsmart provides a natural link between Bglobal’s traditional metering and data operations, and its demand-side energy solutions. It gives us a unique insight into our customers’ energy consumption patterns, allowing us to create bespoke solutions that reduce usage and save money.
