North east hotel scoops trio of awards

A landmark north east hotel and its flagship restaurant have scooped a trio of awards as a result of exceptional service and fine dining.

Ramside Hall Hotel has landed the LateRooms.com Top Rated Luxury Hotel award based on positive reviews by guests on the popular hotel reservation website. Guests who had stayed at the hotel commended it for its friendly service, attention to detail and clean, comfortable rooms.

In addition, Ramside’s French brassiere-style restaurant, the Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill was recently awarded an AA Rosette for its high standards and culinary excellence, offering guests an exclusive dining experience.

The hotel has also won an award from Enjoy England for quality accommodation and customer service.

Paul Beckwith, Head Chef of the Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill, added: “We always try to source as much produce as we can locally. Our meat comes from local Durham farms and seafood fresh from Hartlepool and Northumberland, ensuring guests can enjoy high-quality local food.”

One of the unique features of the restaurant is the ‘Meat Locker’ which gives diners a glimpse of the meat which has been matured for up to 32 days to ensure a succulent and tender taste.

Previously the home of the Pemberton family, the hotel was transformed in 1963 and is now the largest privately-owned luxury hotel in the north east, with 80 individually-decorated bedrooms and facilities including; a championship golf course, gardens, conference, wedding and banqueting suites, meeting rooms and fine dining.

The hotel is also home to a wide range of events such as regular live music evenings at Pembertons Carvery, a Ladies Day on Sunday, March 24 and an Olly Murs/Michael Buble tribute act on Saturday May 18.
