Seddon Construction start £3m Liverpool healthcare project

Family firm, Seddon Construction has started work on a £3m residential project in Broadgreen, Liverpool, for adults with brain injury conditions.

The North West firm, which has offices in Aintree, Liverpool, will build the 18 bedroom development for healthcare company, Health and Social Care Partnerships.

Seddon Construction is part of the larger Seddon Group, which has a turnover of over £150m and employs more than 1,000 people.

Two wings will be built at the new Oak Vale Gardens centre in Broadgreen, with kitchen and laundry facilities, a dining room, lounge areas, offices, clinical space and assisted bathrooms.

Andrew Murray, director for Health and Social Care Partnerships commented: “The professional relationship developed with Seddon ensures that the buildings received are state of the art and the seamless design and build process ensures that the complex needs of service users can be easily met.

“In addition the aftercare service is excellent ensuring that the environment is maintained for staff and service users.”

Seddon Construction managing director, Jonathan Seddon, added: “Seddon has a proven track record of designing and building health and social care developments to a high standard.

“We are proud to be working on this important project to create a specialist centre for adults with acquired brain injuries.”

The partners expect the project to be completed by October this year.
