New moves for Pickering Lifts? Hull operation
Sparked by a significant period of growth, Pickerings Lifts, the UK’s largest independent lift manufacturer, has announced further investment at its Hull office.
The company, which has been operating in Hull for over 30 years, has experienced considerable success over the last 18 months, particularly across its east coast region, due to a number of significant local and national account wins.
The office growth follows the company’s UK-wide strategy which moved away from an operationally-led structure to one that is more market-focussed.
The investment made in the region includes recruitment to bolster the team of 16 engineers and customer service personnel and relocation to larger premises from Curzan Street in the city centre to Priory Technical Park in west Hull.
One of eight Pickerings Lifts regional offices, the east coast team works across North Yorkshire, through Humberside, areas of South Yorkshire and down through Lincolnshire.
Ian Woodward, customer support manager for Pickerings Lifts across the east coast region says: “Hull has remained a fertile ground for us as a company and we’ve been fortunate enough to maintain a strong position in the region since the office was formed.
“The investment we have made in Hull reflects our commitment to the area and employment within the region – an investment which we believe will see the company grow even further.”
Pickerings Lifts works with a range of clients, including Hull City Council, Heron Frozen Foods, Sanctuary Housing and ABP across its service portfolio of Lift Products, Access Products, UK Manufactured Specialist Lifts, Lift Maintenance and Repair, Mobility Maintenance and Repair, Loading Systems, Escalators and Lift Regeneration.
Managing director, Ian Bowers adds: “We’re delighted to announce our investment in Hull and the success we’ve achieved since the office opened.
“We really pride ourselves on the service that we offer our customers across the east coast and the excellent reputation we’ve built up, which we believe will secure our future success in the city.”
