NE wedding company ?covers? more ground
An award-winning North East entrepreneur has had a successful start to 2013 by taking on new franchisees as the business continues to grow.
Sarah Pittendrigh runs Simply Bows and Chair Covers, based at Unthank on the Northumberland and County Durham border. The business now has 12 franchises all over the UK, specialising in quality chair covers and linen for weddings, balls and corporate events at high profile venues.
Thanks to its ongoing UK-wide success, Sarah has two new franchises in Essex and North Northumberland.
Janine Robinson has worked with Simply Bows and Chair Covers on a part-time basis for around three years and has taken over the North Northumberland franchise in Morpeth covering the Ponteland, Alnwick, Otterburn and Berwick-upon-Tweed region. Janine has many years experience in managing high profile ministerial events and exhibitions all over Europe in her role working in the renewable energy sector.
It’s the first time that the company has moved into the South East of England with Kimberley Gosden, from Chelmsford, taking on the Essex franchise. Kimberley has been working for a leading children’s charity for a number of years, including managing planning and design for some large events. Kimberley will work throughout the Essex region at venues including Hylands House, Prested Hall, Crondon Park Golf & Country Club and Reid Rooms.
Simply Bows and Chair Covers has seen demand for its services increase dramatically in the last year and now has franchises in locations such as Aberdeen, Cumbria, Lancashire, Berkshire and around the North East and Yorkshire. At the end of 2012, the business was named Most Promising New Business by the British Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking about her latest business growth, Sarah said: “Expanding across the south of England is a really important step in the business’s growth. I get lots of enquiries from this region and it’s very exciting to now have Kimberley in Essex on board who has such a lot of experience and ideas for the company. And North Northumberland is a really vibrant region for our business and Janine brings with her such passion and a great wealth of experience in both the wedding sector and events’ industry.”
North Northumberland franchisee, Janine Robinson, added: “I’ve been involved with Simply Bows and Chair Covers for a few months now- just on a part time basis. I really love the business and what it does- and how it fits into my lifestyle. It’s great to be part of an exciting, growing business with such an enthusiastic team.”
Essex franchisee, Kimberley, said: “I’ve wanted to run my own business for some time and Simply Bows and Chair Covers has such a good reputation. I knew it would be ideal for me- and to be the first franchisee in the South East is great as there are so many opportunities and such potential in the area.”
