NMHG partners with Gradvert to launch graduate scheme

NACCO Materials Handling Group (NMHG) has partnered with Gradvert, the graduate recruitment company, to design, launch and fill its first official graduate scheme in summer 2013.

NMHG, which is ranked 4th in the global truck industry, has committed to finding its ‘leaders of the future’ and will be placing a strong focus on attracting graduates with an analytical or numerical based degree to join their European Headquarters in Surrey, Hampshire.

Alison Richards, Organisational Development Manager, EMEA said: “This is an exciting and integral part of our talent planning going forward. We want to bring in the ‘leaders of the future’ and have created high profile placements in key business operations including Pricing, Dealer Business and Product Strategy.

“We are looking for graduates who are analytical and commercially savvy with strong leadership potential. The scheme is demanding and very visible within the company and we therefore need graduates who can rise to the challenge from day one!”

Managing Director of Gradvert, Lisa Bean, said: “We are thrilled that NMHG has selected Gradvert for this important project. We have begun by working with the management team to define the parameters of the graduate scheme before promoting it with candidates across the country. What is particularly special about this scheme is the high profile nature of the roles, the opportunity for international travel and the fact that the graduates will be mentored by senior leaders within the company.”

Since its formation in September 2012, Gradvert has attracted big name brands including Gentoo Genie, Go-Ahead and Barratt Homes through its use of social media to reach out to graduates nationally and as a result of the team’s unique experience in this market.

Graduates can apply for the scheme at the Gradvert website [www.gradvert.com] or by sending their CV and covering letter to NMHG@gradvert.com.
