Spencer Gardner Dickins appoints new director
West Midlands financial experts Spencer Gardner Dickins has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a new director.
The Coventry-based accountancy firm has promoted Debra Knighton from assurance and accounts senior manager to Director of Assurance.
Debra has around 25 years experience in the profession and has been with Spencer Gardner Dickins, which has its offices on Coventry Innovation Village on Cheetah Road, for nearly five years.
The 46-year-old, who is married with two daughters and lives in Coventry, will be supported by a 15 strong assurance and accounts team in her new role.
“I’m delighted to have taken on this role at Spencer Gardner Dickins which is a firm which is enjoying really exciting times,” she said.
“Only last year we expanded our offices on the Coventry Innovation Village and despite the tough economic conditions we are operating in we are continuing to grow.
“I’m pleased to be a part of these exciting developments and helping to strengthen the firm’s reputation and our support for business and private clients across the region.”
Away from the workplace, Debra is a keen runner and has completed four marathons in recent years in aid of Shelter and Spencer Gardner Dickins’ chosen charity Myton Hospices.
Bryan Gardner, partner at Spencer Gardner Dickins, added: “Debra is an integral member of the dynamic team we have assembled since establishing the firm in 2004. She has a wealth of experience and this promotion is well deserved.
“Everyone at Spencer Gardner Dickins congratulates Debra on her achievements and we look forward to her playing a major role in the continued success of the firm.”
Spencer Gardner Dickins was founded in 2004 and is led by four partners, Paul Spencer, Bryan Gardner, Paul Dickins, David Thomas and chairman David Burton.
