Artez wins two key projects in Yorkshire

Construction company Artez has won two key projects in Yorkshire in what is turning out to be a very successful start to 2013.

The company has won the contract to undertake maintenance works at York University and will also begin work at Bytemark’s new data centre in York.

The wins come off the back of previous work in the county having completed construction works on Bradford’s Odeon in 2012 where the team was enlisted to re-roof, scaffold wrap and complete an environmental clean-up of the building in order to safe guard it for a further three years.

The project at Bytemark’s data centre is worth in the region of £90k and will require eight weeks on site working in conjunction with data centre specialist Sudlows.

Meanwhile at York University, Artez has been commissioned by repeat client Profile Consultancy to carry out essential maintenance work on the Market Square Building of the University campus.

Artez founder Mike Banton said: “After a successful 2012 I’m thrilled to be kicking off the new year by winning new contracts in Yorkshire and delivering on these schemes.

“Each project is different, challenging and diverse and serves a range of end use purposes but our expertise means that we are able to meet the diverse requirements and timescales on each.”

The Bolton-based business, which was founded in 2010 by Banton - a former director at Urban Splash – will now focus on key construction projects including Albert Bridge House in Manchester and Victoria Station in London, schemes it was appointed to manage late last year.
