Exclusive menswear available in the North East

- Lacrosse and Long Island menswear brands brought to the UK for the first time –

Two hugely successful Norwegian menswear brands – Long Island and Lacrosse – are now available for the first time in the North East.

The move comes after Airport Retail Group (ARG) recently opened its first UK store – Airport Fashion – at Newcastle International Airport. Following a successful few months of trading in the North East, the company has decided to introduce two of its exclusive men’s fashion lines to the ranges already on offer.

The fashion brands are part of ARG’s private label business and offer a unique range of high quality menswear from formal clothing including shirts and ties to jackets, jumpers, casual shirts and trousers.

Airport Fashion is renowned across Europe for stocking high quality brands including Hugo Boss, Eton, Guess and Calvin Klein, and the stores are aimed at style conscious business and family travellers.

Business development manager for Airport Fashion, Steven Fallon, said: “ARG has been overwhelmed by the success of its first UK store. There has been a great deal of interest in our Tommy Hilfiger, Eton and GANT menswear ranges, so we expect the introduction of Long Island and Lacrosse to be a huge success. Both of the ranges offer high quality, stylish pieces which will really complement the collection currently offered in store.

“The Lacrosse range offers a variety of high quality knitwear, jackets and casual trousers, whereas Long Island focuses more on formalwear, with a wide range of shirts and ties.”

Manager of ARG’s private label business, Axel Edström, said: “Lacrosse and Long Island have each been established for more than three years, and are very popular in our Scandinavian stores. Designed by ARG, it is the first time that these exclusive brands will ever have been stocked in the UK – it’s a very exciting time for us and we feel confident that our UK customers will enjoy the lines as much as their Norwegian counterparts.”
