Mills & Reeve add six to the partnership
Hot on the heels of the news of their acquisition of George Davies in Manchester, national law firm Mills & Reeve has announced two new internal partner appointments in Manchester, along with four from their other offices.
Alison Bull and Deborah Clark will become partners in the Manchester family and private tax teams.
Alison is a leading light in her practice area and is recognised as a Band 1 individual in Chambers UK legal directory. The Manchester family team is also ranked in the top tier of Chambers UK and Legal 500. She chairs the national Resolution Standards Committee and sits on the Greater Manchester Family Justice Board. Alison is an accredited civil/commercial mediator, a trained family mediator, collaborative lawyer and counsellor and is widely published.
Deborah is a barrister and a chartered tax adviser, having spent some time working in accountancy. She moved from Birmingham in 2009 to establish the firm’s private tax team in Manchester and her innovative work on family investment companies helped the firm to secure the Private Client Team of the Year trophy in last year’s Manchester Legal Awards.
Both Alison and Deborah will play leading roles in the integration of the George Davies staff into the Manchester office.
Four other associates were promoted to partner from the Birmingham, Cambridge and Norwich offices.
Mark Jeffries, Senior Partner at Mills & Reeve said: “I am delighted that we had such a strong field of candidates this year and expect that the “Class of 2013”, along with our enlarged Manchester office, will be very significant for the future of Mills & Reeve.”
