Hat-trick of deals completed at Escrick Park

A hat-trick of deals has been completed at the award-winning Escrick Park Estate, between York and Selby.

Three new commercial tenants have moved into the historic estate, which has been owned and managed by the Forbes-Adam family for the past 300 years.

100% Proof Marketing, Domus Healthcare and Counter Intelligence Retail (CIR) Ltd have agreed terms on a combined 3,400 sq ft of quality office space.

Since the 35-acres of derelict buildings on the park east of the A19 underwent a comprehensive £1.4m refurbishment, 130 jobs have been created, providing a significant boost to the local economy. In addition, the project won a coveted Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Award.

Charles Forbes-Adam, the owner and developer of Escrick Park, which is situated five minutes away from the A64, commented: “The arrival of these new tenants is a ringing endorsement of the quality of our rural offices; we are tremendously proud of creating a serious business park, with top-class facilities, within a rural idyll.

“We believe Escrick Park has an exceptional and inspiring working environment which is unrivalled in the south York and Selby areas.”

John Burley, of North Yorkshire property consulting firm Briggs Burley, which is marketing Escrick Park, said: “Escrick Park is sufficiently close to York to have a direct association with the city and its location on an historic estate lends a degree of prestige.

“There are a large number of people commuting into York from the south, east and west. Escrick is ideally suited to catch that traffic before it encounters the congestion in York.”

Martin Lambert, managing director of drinks marketing agency 100% Proof Marketing, explained that he had relocated to Escrick Park from nearby Wheldrake because the business was expanding.

He said: “There are many things we enjoy about the location. The setting is fantastic and, as a creative business, I hope it will inspire our staff, especially in the summer months.”
