Cream on fire with four new clients

Setting up a business in the middle of a recession may be tough but the directors of Barnsley-based PR and communications agency Cream have certainly risen to the challenge.

After celebrating its first birthday in February, Cream has now added another four clients to its growing roster and recruited a PR manager.

The company has been appointed by Wentworth Castle to help publicise a £3.74m restoration programme and drive visitors to the historic South Yorkshire attraction.

Leading online retailer UK Water Features and sister company UK Christmas World has also called in Cream to improve its profile and help showcase its online ranges.

Digital marketing agency We Love the Web recruited Cream following a brand refresh, and finally direct mail and fulfilment specialist Cambertown has also appointed Cream to oversee its online and offline PR.

The company has recently been joined by experienced journalist Lucy Ashton who has previously worked in local and regional newspapers and as a press officer.

Jane Whitham, director at Cream, said: “These new clients are a great fit for Cream and we’re looking forward to helping them deliver and outperform their targets.

“We’re continuing to pick up new clients and, just as importantly, retain the ones we’ve had from the very start which is fantastic. Last year, Cream’s first, was very encouraging and 2013 looks like it’s going to be another great year.”
